[Collins] Need info: Panadaptor PCA2/T-200 to 51J-4 IF

Hello to all:
Has anyone accomplished using the above panadaptor (or any ham scan or scanalyzer for that matter) to the 500 kcs IF of the R-388/51J series of receivers? The PCA2 uses a 455 kcs IF with an adjustable core.  I suspect I can realign this unit to take the 500 kcs IF but before I do, I'd like to have caveats from the main body.  Thanks. Cal, N6KYR/4
