Hi folks,
Does anyone have experience with the meters in the 312B-4 stn ctrl? Or
a known experienced svc shop on this item? Or an available meter?
I have 2 units, one meter is malfunctioning, and measures about 150 ohms
vs ~1000 for the good one. I swapped meters, but they don't quite match, of
course, resistors in the sensing unit are hand picked at assy to go with the
meter, the good one registers maybe 5-10% low in the "wrong" unit. I opened
the bad meter, it had shown about 150 ohms resistance, there's a hand wound
resistor of 100 ohms, the movement is 50 ohms. It does deflect slightly,
but nowhere nearly as sensitive as the good one, it acts like some turns in
the moving coil/bobbin are shorted.
I've told a friend he may have one, but the one he prefers, of course,
has the bad meter.
Any help greatly appreciated.
