There are two possibilities for the neutralization capacitor. One ceramic variable and
the other an air variable. The air variable capacitor was introduced with the 6146B
mod because the circuit with the ceramic variable won't properly neutralize the 6146B.
The ceramic variable I think is the standard 8-50 pf used throughout the KWM-2 and S-
line for band tuning of the rack. The air variable is smaller in capacity and needs
and insulated mounting. The small air variable may be avaiable from Dan's Small Parts.
The ceramic variable may be available from Surplus Sales of Nebraska, but that part is
getting rare and I've not yet found anything modern to create a workable replacement.
None of the moder stuff will hand the RF voltage and current present in tubes radios.
I'm 500 miles from my reference materials so I could be wrong on that ceramic variable.
