Henry,

I just went through the cleaning and lube process on the PTO's  in my 
32S-3, 75S-3, and KWM-2 and it really does make a difference in feel.  
You might email Fair Radio ( fairradio at fairradio.com ) to see if they 
have any "destroyed units" that they would steal the ball out of for 
you.  I think that the glass ball used as the thrust bearing in the 
command sets is probably larger but I will take a look at one of my 
parts units later to see if it looks close and if so I will compare it 
to the one in my 51S-1 when I go through that PTO later.

I wouldn't give up hope on finding it yet since it probably had some 
grease mixed with "ferrite dust" which makes it somewhat sticky so it 
wouldn't likely roll too far.
