Bob,

With thanks to Jerome Vonderheide, W0NGL, I have attached a PDF file showing
his before and after wiring diagram for SB-8C.

What's illustrated are four wires, wire A, B, C and D. It represents the
complete AGC run. Only one wire is changed, wire A. [The RF stage's delay
diode is inserted between TS8-1 and TS11-1]. TS11 is the field upgrade. In
production TS11 does not exist since TS8 was changed to three lug terminal
strip. TS8's three lugs identifies SB-8C.

Want to check your wiring? Insert a temporary jumper between TS8-1 and
TS11-1. The circuit is now restored to its original path. You should have
continuity at each connection point and the KWM-2 should work as it did.
Also note, that any and all "single-sheet schematics" of the KWM-2 are
incorrect regarding SB-8C! Only the newer five page schematics and the SB-8
instruction sheet are correct.

Naturally, the diode's polarity between TS8 and TS11 is critical.

Before:
Wire A TS8-1 to K4-X
Wire B TS8-1 to E40-I
Wire C E40-I to E60-L
Wire D K4-Y to E70-I

After
Wire A TS8-1 to TS11-1 (TS11 is new)
Wire B K4-X to E40-I (No change)
Wire C E40-I to E60-L (No change)
Wire D K4-Y to E70-I (No change)

Stu, k2qde
