The grid drive needs are similar (both AB1 and about the same bias
voltage), with the two 6CL6 there should be plenty of drive. Screen
voltages are similar. 6146 like 800 volts much better than 2 KV so
they'd need a special supply. However for a plate load, 2 KV / .5 amp
works out close to 800 volts/ .2 amp so they would work with the same
output network. 6146 probably have a bit more plate to grid C so the
neutralization circuit might be a bit different. The KWS-1 used a plate
ALC, the S-line one on the grid bias. I like the grid bias one better,
its better at keeping the AB1 stage out of signal distorting grid
current.
Looks to me as if the big problems are plate supply voltage, sockets,
neutralization, and ALC.
