[Collins] 516F-2 wiring

Cam,

All equipment that uses 3-prong 115 vac plugs are
probably sensitive in a certain way. While they
will work if the hot and neutral are reversed, this is
not a good situation as the fuse as well as the
off-on switch should be in the hot lead.

Either your last house or this one is screwed up.
You probably need to get an outlet tester and see
what it shows....You can get a little tester at
Home Depot or similar stores that plugs into the
3-prong outlet and has indicator lights that tell
you if the outlet is wired correctly. If a lot of the
outlets in this house are not correct, you may
need to consult an electrician.

good luck, 73,
Phil

Hi all, Just curious as I've had to change my amplifiers power plug
connections for the house we're in nows wiring, ie. I think every outlet in
the house was wired reverse of our last house. Is the 516F-2 sensitive to
110 VAC polarity deffirences or not?
Thanks es 73,
Cam
