On the old Motorola and General Electric plugs it
would be much easier to use a power grinder to remove
the key than to try to bend it back in place.  Those
microphone plugs had some "serious" metal!  The newer
plugs are generally much cheaper made with much
thinner sheet metal used in their manufacture.
