[Collins] Collins ash tray

Hi to the group,
 
I was at the swapmeet at Kingman, AZ yesterday and picked up an ash tray  
with the Collins winged emblem on it.  It is 5 in. by 4 in. and made out of  
black bakelite.  Has anyone else seen one of these and can help to identify  why 
and when it was made?
