Well the original message was bounced due to a bit of HTML coding. But in

Sorry to say but it seems that Jim's response is exactly what I heard was a
topic that took some 45 minutes of discussion at the CCA forum in Dayton.
How "collectors" buy cheap from unknowing estates and sell high.

Here's what one person in attendance had to say: "I was not very happy with
the first 45 or so minutes... They were discussing how to "reap" "REAL
DEALS" from estates and folks who did not know what the radios were really
worth... They were bragging on paying $50.00 for a 75 S-3 and turning around
and making big bucks on the deal... Now that is okay for a lot of ham
traders, but I kinda expected a little more out if this group.... There were
about 80 or so in the forum room and some got the ideal that the forum was
primarily an opportunity to sell their Collins equipment to the folks up
front on the stage....... There was much talk about pricing the equipment,
so your wife would have some ideal on what to get for it when you kicked the
bucket.... "

I view this action as being a sad sad day in ham radio. Is there no dignity
and morals left?
