The FAA had several of these used in their "emergency" net. I recall one at
the Seattle Long Range Radar Site. I don't know if the net is still active,
I do know that they replaced some of their huge log periodic beams with huge
conical verticals at some of the centers. I retired in 1994 and I am sure
that there have been many changes. Sometimes their surplus equipment is
disposed of by GSA, some times special procedures get implemented.
