[Collins] Warren Bruene

This evening I had the pleasure of once again chatting with Mr. Warren 
Bruene at his home in Dallas.  Warren is now 89 with the mind of a 21 year 
old.  He hasn't skipped a beat since we spoke some months ago and it was 
most enjoyable to spend some time with him on the telephone.

I would think it would be a nice gesture and surprise if all of us would 
send Warren a QSL card.  His call letters are W5OLY.  Wish him continued 
good health and a long life, etc.

I am sure that he would enjoy hearing from all of us who very much 
appreciate his contribution to our hobby, and in particular, his engineering 
talents in designing many of the Collins that we own and operate, like the 
30S-1, 30K-1, etc. Incidentally, he started with Collins Radio in 1938 and 
ended his long distinguished career with Rockwell.
