Indeed - I felt at the time that Collins' venture into computers was
somewhat akin to IBM's side-trip into telephone exchanges, or ITT's embrace
of the hotel and bakery industries. <eek>

The very fact that Rockwell-Collins recently won a big Royal Navy contract
speaks volumes about the modern company's dynamism and leadership.

I worked for a competitor - Racal - from 1964 to 1967.
