For that matter, I don't recall any major company that was committed to
amateur radio products for profit.
Yes, many years ago there were some start-up companies that received a major
part of their business from amateur radio products but in today's market,
from a company standpoint, amateur radio products are a by-product of other
developments or just a "hobby" of the owners. After all, ham radio is only
a hobby.
