CW on the slightly updated 32S-1 with the four diode balanced modulator
isn't all that bad. See service bulletin on that change. It wasn't hard
to accomplish and achieves pretty good carrier balance. Then the audio
tone works. Still won't transceive, but the 32S-3 has a bit of offset on
CW too. The 32S-3 is a bit more convenient for setting transmit
frequency but the 32S-1 is workable. I made over 550 CW contacts one
weekend with mine during a SS contest. Enough to work all states and all
ARRL zones but NWT. Heard no complaints, just quick answers to my calls.
