Receive, maybe. Transmit for sure not.
I made a 75S-2 receive 160 once. I had to abandon the lowest 80 meter
band segment and clip jumpers on the bandswitch segments to allow adding
more tuning C for all the coils to reach 160 meters. Worked well, though
my dad took the mod out later.
There's no room in the PA compartment for doubling the tuning C and coil
inductance to reach 160 meters, so transmitting is out of the question.
There's no way to build out the output tank either from the outside.
