Seems to me I have. The tiny variety, relatively low voltage about 26
gauge wire leads.
There may be capacitors as good as the Vishay/Sprague Orange Drops, but
those are very good capacitors. Among other things they are extended
foil or metalization so that they don't have the inductance
characteristic of ordinary capacitors which is a benefit in RF stages
above a few MHz. I have tested (unplanned) an early orange drop going
through a wringer washer and high speed clothes dryer and it didn't
develop leakage. I've not done that to other brands or imports. I
recommend Orange Drops by brand, not similar capacitors because I don't
have that confidence in others, and with the parts easy to purchase from
Mouser, I quit looking at other options.
