[Collins] Update

1.  The grill material for the 312A-1 and 312A-2 will be shipped shortly
from England.  Anyone wanting a new grill, please let me know.

2.  The reproduction 55G-1 project is moving forward but more slowly than
anticipated.  Serial #1 is being shipped to Chicago for evaluation with an
original 55G-1 mated to a 51S-1.  This unit performs very well with my own
51S-1 but we wanted to compare it to the original.  Only 12 units will be
produced and already six have been promised.


3.  If you have not yet joined the CRA, please do so by going to our website
and clicking on membership.  When you join, you receive the Collins Journal,
now in its 12th year.

4.  I do hope that anyone wanting those support wooden pieces for their
516F-2 when shipped to prevent damage to the case, has seen the last issue
of the Collins Journal for the dimensions.  We made up three extra sets.

5.  A very nice 312A-2 has been added to the Collins Radio Center.  Anyone
know where I can find the antenna switching unit, the selsyn motor, etc.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
