two things , im flattered that I could be in the same category as PZ'd
and he's miffed that im included... Pappa Zulu, stays fit, ole Merry
Christmas does not.. give us a while to kick it around, Carns is due in
Texas next month for a visit, and we can ping on him.. Jim Stitzinger is
still the fountin of product knowledge, Rod Blocksome is willing, depending
on his work schedule and Amelia Earhart expeditions.. we'd need to round up
Wayne, Yves, ask Howard and Charlie, not sure about Warren.. more names as
I think of them.. DFW makes it so easy, ever plane goes thru DFW ... I'll
post all the CBPB's and do a real pulse count.. it could really expand this
time, we all know so much more than we ever have before.. the learning
curve is now within reach.. all the new CCA members have been such a good
contributition toward spreading the knowledge base around.. and with such
good enthusiasm and free sharing... Jenks has moved as have I .. but still
plenty of places to do a good BBQ dinner ourselves.. and Ron Fireman will
be an official TEXAN by this April, finally re-nouncing his AZ
citizenship.. im even counting on his vote locally.. So we will kick it
around and offer a report in the near future.. mac/mc

Mac and list, Well the way I figure it, you guys are kneeling because you
and Pete's muscular football player physique would block the other guys from
view :)) Pete Z. just sent me the .jpg so I'll post that on my webpage so I
can share it with others.
Yeah I had forgotten about the 9/11 aspect of it. I remember being really
creeped out throughout the whole airline flight down. People were scared.
And you could see it on the plane, everyone suspiciously eyeing up the other
folks on the flight. I even updated my will. Now thats committment :)) A
guy that I was going down with cancelled out post 9/11. Sure couldn't blame
him. Glad I went though. The camaraderie was great! After dinner we would
sit in the hotel lobby with a group of people and just talk about
restoration, alignment, history, parts, performance, etc. We talked with
Bill Carns late into one night about the KWS-1 and restoration of it.
Talking to the experts sure beats reading an article. I got to actually see
Jim Stitzengers Collins Van in operation. I shook Warren Bruene's hand. I
felt like a Collins genius by the time it was over! I don't feel like a
genius anymore so maybe its time for another :)))) I think the last Cedar
Rapid big event happened just as I was getting into Collins so I missed it.
That one sounded like the biggest Collins event ever.
I sort of heard something in passing last month, that there was a discussion
(maybe last year) about having another Collins gathering in Cedar Rapids but
it was not pursued due to lack of interest. I never heard anything about
that. Maybe it was just rumor.
Ya know, I still have my CUC mug sitting in the shack, my CUC badge hanging
on the wall, and I still use my Collins ceramic coffee cup I got from Bob
Peters.
