Is the chassis stamped or silkscreened saying its a 6AK5? So long as
pins 2 and 7 are used connected, the 6AK5 will plug into a socket wired
for 6DC6, 6BA6, and 6CB6. My A3 manual shows 6CB6 as the RF stage. The
6AK5 would give a lower noise figure (possibly significant on 10m) but
really lousy AGC action.
