Exactly Glen.  Recently, I came across a nice looking 75S-3 at a hamfest.  
The chap selling it displayed the receiver, the 200 Hz filter and the manual 
separately with their own individual prices!  He had purchased the receiver at 
that very hamfest earlier in the day, cut the filter out with a pair of nippers 
and priced everything separately to make a quick profit.  I'm certainly all 
for free trade and supply vs.demand pricing, but there was something about 
hacking up a 75S-3 with a pair of nippers at a hamfest that made me, well, just 
walk away.
