[Collins] Fw: Collins filters in Sline.

The 500 Hz mechanical filter for CW, as well as the
optional BFO crystal, was an accessory item in the
75S-1 and 75S-2. The 200 Hz crystal filter came
standard in the 75S-3 and 75S-3A from the factory.
Then, on the 75S-3B and 75S-3C the CW filters were
again an accessory item (getting pretty expensive by
that time).

If you run into a 75S-3 or 75S-3A that does not have
the 200 Hz CW filter then someone has removed it
probably to sell separately because those filters do
command a premium.

Again, every 75S-3 and 75S-3A came from the factory
with the 200 Hz filter installed. Not so on the
75S-1, 75S-2, 75S-3B, and 75S-3C.

In the receiver there were provisions for only two
filters and I don't recall that the CW filter was
standard, I think it was separate. The kit to install
it was not hard to buy, because I remember buying the
kit for my dad's 75S2. It was the 500 Hz mechanical
filter (round case but more like 3/4 or 7/8" diameter)
and the required BFO crystal.
