160m: [Collins] Crystals

I built a 160 meter, solid state converter for a 75S-1 several years
ago. It works fine and is sitting on a shelf as I no longer have the
receiver. It uses a xtal around 27 MHz and the 160 meter reception is on
the 10 meter band...

While the NE-602 would convert, it has limited high end dynamic range
and that can be a limitation on a 160 meter converter. Other IC's or
diode ring mixers can have better performance.

Tentec made a 160 meter converter. Drake made a 160 meter converter if I
recall correctly. I'm sure there were circuits in a few decades of ARRL
handbooks with all the details worked out.
