I have a bit of trivia to throw out for chewing on.................

My 312B-5's escucheon does not say "312B-5" like most all others do......it 
is engraved "312-B5".  Note that I said engraved, not embossed.  The numbering 
is not nearly as large as "normal, about 2/3 the size.  It was expertly 
engraved and looks like it came that way.

I have no way of knowing if it was done that way at the co. that manufactured 
the escutcheon, or was done "after the fact".

Does anyone have an escutcheon that is engraved and says "312-B5"?

BTW, the meter on the B5 is straight line, not spaded!
