Finally getting after the 32S-1 after the power supply rebuild.
Making power on bands up through 20M, but wierd oscillations
on 15 and 10. The bulletins point to feethru caps and the shield
covers which both appear OK in this radio.
C56 checks good with high insulation resistance, etc. Has anybody
investigated failures in these caps recently? What is a good way
to test them other than the trusty Tel-O-Mic? AND, anybody
know of a supplier of suitable replacements in case I want to take
the shotgun approach...
I'd also love to hear from anyone who has re-strung the bandswitch
cable successfully! This one was done by a previous owner with
plastic covered hookup wire! After I adjusted to get the RF, Xtal
and final switches all on the same band, it worked a LOT better! HI.
