[Collins] S-line front panel paint touch up?

Several years ago, an ER "hints and kinks" tip said to use Testors Navy Gloss Grey to touch up the Collins S-line front panel. The trouble is that it is gloss while the paint on the S-line is dull. Does anyone have any techniques to touch up the paint on the front panel? Thanks. Cal. N6KYR.
