I understand the serial number issue now. Thanks. It's
interesting that my receiver is so old and in such good
condition.  Owner # 1 took incredible care of it.  

I won't be working on it as I am fairly busy with other
projects but I will put a cover for it to keep dust off when
I'm not using it. 

$75 for the spinner knob?  Well worth it but not in my budget.
That's almost as much as a Hallicrafters speaker or a nice
J38.

I remember seeing boxes of J38's, what, two bucks each or
something like that?  Why, why didn't I buy fifty of them in
1962?  



I did a little more tuning around. The 75S-1 is a terrific
radio.  

I've had two radio surprises this year. The 75S-1 was one. 

The other was playing with the 75A-..3, maybe, at the
Berryville Hamfest. I always thought that 75A's looked
archaic but this one looked and sounded great.
