I have a rather unique KWM-2A for sale. It is a Round Emblem unit in very nice, original electrical and cosmetic condition. It comes with a matching RE 516-F2 and RE 312-B4. When I say matching, that is what makes it unique. All three units have the same serial number.
After checking with Rod Blocksome, he stated that Collins NEVER did that. Well, he was speaking only for the Cedar Rapids plant as I remember. So, you'll probably never see another set like this one. The serial number on these units, clearly indicates they were made in 1969 in the Dallas, Texas plant. The serial number looks like this: 71XXXDLT where the Xs are the three digit number Collins assigned during manufacturer.
Each unit has it's own MCN number and I will not sell any of the units unless they go together. I have the original manual that came with the M2A and it has the name of the original owner inside. I do know how to contact him if the new owner wants to find out more about the radios.
If you are interested in this special KWM-2A, contact me directly, off the reflector. The units are in Las Vegas, Nevada and I can send pictures if you are interested. I can ship if necessary by whatever method the buyer requests. There will be four boxes as I remove the power supplies from their cabinets when I ship them.
I am contemplating a move so am thinning out my collection greatly. Let me know if you have other needs, as I will only be keeping a few pieces.
Thanks for reading this notice
