I all.
I think I found a near perfect patch to the Collins Gray. I went to several stores looking for the right shade of gray. Wal-Mart, Home Depot and Dixie Line (local in San Diego) were all no help. Lowes had the right color gray but it was a primer so I found a clear enamel with a satin finish and that did the trick.
To double check my findings, I sprayed part of one of my manufactured Collins Rack mount front panel, first the primer, let it dry, then the clear satin enamel and so far no one has been able to see which part I over sprayed.
Here is another surprise, it's the least costly paint at Lowes, when I check out I gave the checker $6 and she gave me change, what a deal.
The paint is by Valspar, American Tradition, 165956 GRAY PRIMER & 165959 CLEAR ACRYLIC SATIN.
Let me know if any of you have tried this combination, you know what they say, if it too good to be true, it usually isn't. In this case I'm satisfied, so far.
