Yesterday on the 20 meter CRA Collins Net, net control station, W3CRA had
stations reporting in California, Washington, Wyoming, Wisconsin, Florida,
Tennessee, Arkansas, etc. What a wonderful time was had
by all. Not one of those "check in for the numbers: kind of nets but a
time for real information sharing on Collins, etc.

Remember there are no dues in the CRA. Sign up today. Go to the CRA
website for details. We are nearly 2,000 strong, so I wonder if that
"qualifies" the CRA as the largest Collins organization in the world?
Forget
the boasting - show us the results! OK, then go to the CRA website to see
what the CRA has been contributing to our hobby. No frills or silly claims
or sponsorships, just a simple mission and that is of providing a free
service to the Collins enthusiast.

Yesterday, Fred from Wisconsin didn't know that the CRA website had so much
free information, like Collins service bulletins, etc. Forget about paying
for this service through dues to support the
preservation and continued use of Collins amateur radio equipment. Say
what!

Incidentally, better plan to attend Collins Forum while attending the Dayton
Hamvention in May.
A great program is scheduled this year by the CRA.

The CRA limits its nets to just three at present to avoid the proliferation
of QRM and nets on the ham bands. If you like to check in for the numbers
"kind of thing" then, I guess, you will have to go elsewhere.

20 meters on Saturday at Noon EST on 14.250 Mhz.; 75 meters on Monday and
Wednesdays at 8 PM EST on 3.805 Mhz.

Finally, the CRA is looking for someone to serve on the advisory board. If
interested, please let the secretary know.

Thank you from the advisory board of the CRA.
