[Collins] 270G-3 speaker distorted?

Take it to a local speaker recone shop.
I just had a nice original 10" reconed last week from a National speaker
cabinet.
You can't find good speakers any more at a decent price.
It makes all the difference in the world.
Forget Radio Shack....tried em all and took em all back too.
Don't get a plastic cone...they sound tinny...use a good paper recone
kit
with the proper impedance if possible. If the impedance is not the same
it won't really matter at the power levels we use in a radio.
If you were using it in a guitar amp....yeah, it would matter at those
levels...like 135vrms.

Subject: [Collins] 270G-3 speaker distorted?

Had my 75A4 on for first time in a while.
It sounded very distorted.
If I apply very slight downward pressure on the speaker magnet, the
sound clears right up.
Can anyone suggest where to get a replacement speaker?
Thanks for any additional help!
....Dave
