Due to popular demand, here is my mod to convert the antenna relay supply
from 110VDC to 110VAC:

At TB502, terminal 14, you should find a white/red/blue wire. This is the
line supplying voltage to the internal PTT relay, and thence to the external
antenna relay.

Remove this wire from TB502 terminal 14 and install it at TB502 terminal 12.
This is the switched AC Hot (line voltage).

Note that you shouldn't run a DC relay on AC or vice-versa.

Before firing up, disconnect your antenna relay. Fire up and hit the PTT
while you check that you get 120VAC on the antenna relay line. (Observe safety
precautions for dangerous voltages) .

It might not be a bad idea to add a fuse or current limiting resistor in this
line.

Also, I suggest you remove the selenium rectifier from the relay supply. They
have been known to smoke, which causes long discussion threads on the
internet over whether selenium oxide is poisonous or just smells really bad...

73 and keep the KWS-1's glowing!
