Tom-

Sounds like you want to keep things original, but consider:

-The original relay is expensive on eBay, and there are many being sold as 
KWS-1 relays that do not have the extra contact set.

-The original relay is DC. The DC supply has a selenium rectifier in it, 
which is generally considered to be a time bomb. At minimum, you should replace it 
with a modern diode.

-There's a simple way to rewire the power supply so that it supplies 110VAC 
to the relay instead of DC, which means you can now use a much more commonly 
available Dow-Key, 110VAC, with external contacts, and SO-239s. details on 
request.
