[Collins] Hammarlund and Collins Radio

Today, I spoke to a ham in Douglas, AZ who owns a Hammarlund HQ-215.  He
indicated that this transistorized receiver can be mated to a 32S
transmitter since it has the same RCA connections.  The unit uses Collins
mechanical filters.  Does anyone have information on whether Hammarlund and
Collins Radio were involved in this joint development of mating the two
units.
