I get my HV cable for amp projects from a neon sign repair shop. Comes
in various colors, either 14 or 16 gauge copper, silicon impregnated,
very flexible, 18KV or higher rated and best of all, they use it in such
large quantities that they just give me scraps left over a job, usually
in 8-10 foot lengths, it's not worth their effort to write up a bill for
what is to them such a small piece.
