[Collins] PARTS, a word to the wise!?!?(and a humorous return)

Perhaps I'm wrong...aren't we comparing "apples and oranges"? The Spragues are all the same size for the same value, so I assume whatever capacitors were used, they were something else. Seems like the "Orange Drops" are the way to go, even if they are rarely ever available locally. For five dollars difference, you're lucky to get them anywhere you can. Add gas money, factor in whatever you figure your time is worth, and the difference is nil...and taking supply and demand into account, the value of your time is directly proportional to the number of BigMacs eaten while driving around looking for bargains, rather than the Spragues, which will undoubtedly last longer.
...of course, if you put mayo on the fries, like the Dutch do, the likelihood of needing a second rebuild on the Collins isn't likely. That five bucks won't go very far on even the co-payment for a cornary artery bipass graft.
Why is it that people pay more attention to the gasoline they put into their cars than the food they put in their bodies?

Likewise, please don't take offense...this just struck me as being funny, and laughter is the best medicine (for anything except junk food).

PS. Be glad you chose Arizona, and not Nebraska.  I was quoted a price of $75 for the same part that a gent on this reflector sold to me for less than $10, including shipping.  Now that's a difference of almost two cartons of cigarettes!!!
