[Collins] Collins 312A1 Reproduction Speakers

Hi Gang, well I see that there are two sources for the 270G series of
speakers for the A-Line, well what about a repro 312A1/A2 speaker? Is there
any interest out in Radio land to purchase a repro 312A1??  I am looking
into a source to see if they are econimically feasible to build. Oh there is
a lot to them, but if there is enough interest it may worthwhile.  I'm
trying to restore one and know I'm up against a tough challenge, but for
those that are not Collins purists, and are not at risk of heart attack if
someone asks if thats a repro, well I'd buy one myself.. I see a lot of
restored antique cars with fiberglass fenders etc, so, no big deal... If you
would be interested in a repro 312A1 speaker, drop me an email with what you
feel a reasonable price would be for one... also what comments you have
about the type of light fixture to go across the front panel.  Fluorescent
is about the only option as the Lumiline hardware is out of production. So
your comments are welcome.. purists need not respond and please no nasty
comments.. I don't think anyone could replicate the 312A1 to disguise it as
an original... 73 es keep em glowin.
