I must apollogize because I am too late to let you know what I found in my
32S3....Following Jerrys (K0CQ) and Garey (K4AOH) instructions I
disassembled the parasitic supressor in the plate of the 6146 that was
getting red, I measured the resistor and found that it was 470 Ohms, I
wonder how much it was when hot....I did the same with the supressor for the
other tube, it was also out of value but not so much, it measured 98 Ohms. I
was lucky to find the same original resistors (Ohmite) with a friend, so I
replaced both. Now the oscillation is gone...I am in the process of retuning
and neutralizing the rig....
I have another problem with it, the main dial is stucking in some
places....it does not run smooth....I remember I saw some instructions about
how to disassemble the main dial and relube the PTO, but I dont know where
it was, could anyone give me a hint of where can I find those instructions?
I already disassembled, cleand, relubed and adjusted the drive mechanism and
is running like new....it was fun to deal with alll those pieces in such a
nice mechanical set.....
Thanks, Jim, HK3AHM/1
