The AC part of the switch is off in the extreme CCW position, comes on
and stays on for the other three positions. The wafer only makes contact
in the most CW two positions, so is of no consequence in the power
supply positions. That's what I gather from the old schematic I have.
The pitfalls are that the power switch Collins used is barely capable of
the load and is thus prone to fail. When I built my own supply, I didn't
switch it with the 32S1. Makes the function switch last much longer and
that function switch in the 32S1 is more complex than the one in the
KWM-2.
