FYI, I used a piece of plexiglass cut to shape that was about 1/8" (whiched worked but was a skosh on the large side). The piece ended up rubbing on that metal pointer on the KCS readout dial. I could have corrected the problem by slighly filing the interference point and all would have been good. Back to the glass: if there is something about 1/16" available, try that. Don't discount the use of Lexan or Plexiglass, though. It is tougher than glass and won't crack due to some incidental/accidental impact.
