Eric,
Clearly, the finals are oscillating.

Was this unit in regular service and working properly (in your shack)?
or is this a new, to you, radio?
Did you check for MODS?
Why is in on the bench?
Do you have a load connected to the output?
Did you try pulling the tubes, one at a time (observing all safety
precautions) and see if the oscillation stopped?

> My 30L-1 is giving me trouble.  Can you guys help out?  It is putting out
RF with no drive. Its setting on the bench just plugged in to 110. When I
activate the relay, the current jumps to 100 mills. and there is RF at the
antenna output. It's from 40 to 60 MHz,depending on which band it is on.  My
SB 200 runs about 90 mills idling current with relay made. So the 100 mills
on on the 30L-1 is not far off, but the tubes still show a little color.
