ALEX.. A good choice for an affordable supply would be the Hallicrafters
sr-120-12 supply.
It has polarity reversal provisions internal to the unit.
The directions are easily understood.
I do not recall about the txcvr internal heater wiring, haven't had one
in a car since my '57
Plymouth Fury days, that rig on 40 mobile had lots of good contacts!
If push coes to shove, the original generator on the 3000 engine can
(with a little mounting help)
can be replaced with an old ford 6 cylinder 2 brush unit. 40 amps out
for th right one.
I made several conversions on jaguars--I almost forgot- does the tach
drive from the rear of the generator?
If so- forget what I said. memory getting hazy- what were we talking
about?
old jack.
