The overwhelming consensus was that the red banded S-Meter was used on the
early 75A-4.

I have forgotten the difference in the meter scales of the 75A-4's.

Was the meter face with the upper red scale, an early or late 75A-4 when
compared to the black on white meter face.  Which came first in other words.
