Hal Guretzky, K6DPZ, (LandAir Communications) has come up with a new approach in using the KWM-2 on 160 meters. Hal indicated to me by telephone yesterday that an article will appear in the July issue of ER.
We hope to do a companion piece in an upcoming issue of the Collins Journal. Incidentally, the conversion does not affect the aesthetics of the KWM2. As Hal explained it to me, the approach is very novel to say the least. Incidentally, Hal is using his "converted" KWM-2 on 160 meters now.
He is also thinking of converting the 75A-4 for reception on 6 meters.
You never know what this bright guy will come up with next. More later ....
