You may want to contact Jim, VK9NS at [email protected]. I believe he's
building one of those as we speak. He calls it the [GE Ham News] LWM-3,
though. I'm sure all my KWM-2 parts are going to that project.

GE Ham News "The LWM-3-Mobile SSB Transceiver". Part I appeared in the
Nov-Dec 1961 (#16-6) and part II in Jan-Feb 1962 (#17-1). Gary is sending me
photocopies of these articles. It uses a 12BY7 for the final so it is kind
of a QRP rig. There was a later article (issue unknown) that described an
external amplifier to boost the power.

duplicates. Actually, I need most issues from 1961 (16-1) and later, and I
have duplicates of earlier issues to trade. I will post the articles on the
web site for those who are interested.

If you want to send photos and or stories or links to your web site, I will
add them to the LWM-3 page.

great home brew rig at Dallas HamCom. Someone saw it and told me they
thought it was a KWM-1 clone built from an article in GE Ham News but I
can't find it in any of the copies I have. No luck in RCA Ham Tips either.
It does have a Collins mechanical filter. If anyone has any information on
this rig, I would really like to know more. Please take a look at the photos
and see if you recognize it.
