I chased a low grid drive problem (started out at about 2mA, then went to
nearly 0, depending on band), and finally tracked it to one of the bypass
caps in the freq. mult chain. Naturally, it was one of the papers that were
in the  back of the tube socket... I had to leave it in there and snip one
end off. I was
able to solder its replacement back in , as it was a much smaller poly unit.
