If you do use the 75S series receiver with the CW
being received in USB, you will be within about 50 Hz
(or less) of zero beat on CW. This is the same as
with SSB. The problem is when you use the 200 Hz
crystal CW filter (standard in the 75S-3 and 75S-3A
being a "high priced" accessory in the 75S-3B and
75S-3C) is that when you use the fixed oscillator that
the tone frequency is pretty high. If you use the
variable BFO in the 75S-3 series receivers then you
will not be zero beat (but the tone frequeny is MUCH
better on the ears). But, there is no way that you
will be "50 kc" (50 KHz) away from the desired
frequency in any case!
