I had a KWM-2 that did this years ago. The standard fix was to replace the
two final tubes and it went away. Being a curious and quite parsimonious
(aka cheap) Yankee, I proceeded to figure it out.

The finals were actually transmitting a weak signal for a few
seconds. This was being caused by reverse voltage on the screen pin #3 of
one or both tubes. The screen then acted like a plate and the tube
conducted. A diode is series with the screen resistor R148 fixed it,
cathode towards the screen side. I surmise that as the tubes aged, this
became a problem.

Calculating the time I spent figuring this out, it would have been a lot
cheaper to replace the tubes......
