The Collins Radio Association is looking for some interested individuals =
who would like to volunteer a little of their time and their expertise =
in helping the CRA to form chapters throughout the USA and overseas. =
Those chapter members would serve, for example, as Collins Helpers, =
etc. The CRA already has 8 individuals who have volunteered to be a =
Collins Helper - see http://www.collinsra.com/resources.html =20
Incidentally, there is a very active CRA chapter in the U.K and in =
Japan.
We believe that CRA Collins Chapters could do a great deal to promote =
Collins. For one thing, its members could assist others in the hobby =
who are involved in the first-time purchase of Collins or who need =
assistance in a restoration project, etc. on a personal basis through =
personal contact. This would be another means to stay in touch other =
than on the air or on the QTH.NET Collins Mail List. =20
Let me hear from you as to how this project could get off the ground. =
For each chapter formed with at least five local participants within a =
country, region, state, or locale, the CRA would have some very =
interesting incentives for chapter members.
The CRA has an advisory board who are available to assist with this =
project. Their names are so listed below as they appear on the CRA =
website. If you would like to be a member of the Advisory Board, please =
let us know and in what capacity you might like to serve - we are open =
for ideas.
