CAUTION: Newbie alert! Go easy on him!:-)
I've recently fallen heir to a lovely set of S-line equipment.
Unfortunately, I haven't upgraded to General yet, so all I can do at the
moment is listen. However, it comes into my pointy little head that a
6m transverter would be just the ticket to allow me some use of the gear
before I upgrade, and get me onto what looks like might be a very fun
band in which to operate.
I was looking at the TenTec 20-to-6 box, which has garnered several
favorable reviews. Trouble is, it appears to have a max input of 20W.
The 32S-3 appears to put out in the 100W range, and it's not immediately
apparent to me whether or not that can be reduced. I can't imagine its
output level NOT being adjustable.
So, help the newbie out: is the power out on the 32S-3 adjustable? Is
the TenTec a decent transverter? Has anyone used it or any other 6m
transverter with the S-line equipment?
